Vietnam to set up trade promotion office in Italy
Vietnam will establish a trade promotion office in Tuscany, Italy, to promote the exchange of information on trade and investment opportunities between the country and the region.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in this connection was signed by Vietnamese Ambassador to Italia Nguyen Hoang Long and Stefano Giovannelli, director of the Tuscany economic promotion agency on August 2.
While meeting with Tuscany’s President Enrico Rossi, Ambassador Long announced that “Vietnam year” will be organised in Italy in 2013 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
For his part, President Enrico Rossi expressed his wish to further strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in the near future.
The trade promotion office is scheduled to open on September 17.
