Vietnam wins 300,000t rice export contract to Philippines

Vietnam has won a contract to export 300,000 tonnes of rice to the Philippines in a tender undertaken by the Philippine’s National Food Authority (NFA). The 300,000 tonne contract for 25% broken rice at a price of CF US$284 a tonne will be delivered from June to August of 2005.
So far this year, rice exports have reached 2.1 million tonnes at an average price US$247 a tonne.
