Vietnam’s cement sector saves 439b dong: vicem

Vietnam Cement Industry Corp (Vicem) has said the corporation and its members have committed to save over 439 billion dong from business and production costs in 2012.

Some members have registered to save a huge amount of costs such as vicem Hoang Thanh Co (over 132 billion dong) and vicem Ha Tien Co (over 124 billion dong).

From early this year so far, cement consumption has dropped sharply over the same period last year due to decreasing demand and frozen real estate market.
