Vietnam’s Equity Movers: Ca Mau Trading, OPC Pharmaceutical

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnamese trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 2:15 p.m. close in HCM City. The VN Index (VNINDEX), the benchmark measure of the HCM City Stock Exchange, fell 1.8 percent to 408.12, the lowest close since February 17.

Ca Mau Trading Joint-Stock Co. (CMV VN), which trades products including oil, gas, building materials and stationery, fell 1.6 percent to 18,000 dong, the lowest close since June 20. The company will delay a 2011 dividend payment planned on August 2, it said in a statement on the exchange’s website, without giving an alternative date.

OPC Pharmaceutical Joint-Stock Co. (OPC), a manufacturer and trader of herbal medicines, dropped by daily limit of 5 percent to 32,300 dong, the lowest close since April 4. SSI Vision Fund cut its stake in the company to 7.2 percent from 11.1 percent, OPC Pharmaceutical said in a statement filed on the bourse’s website.
