Vietnam’s Equity Movers: Dong Phu Rubber, Sacombank Securities

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in HCM City. The VN Index (VNINDEX), the benchmark measure of the HCM City Stock Exchange, fell 1 percent to 431.08.

Dong Phu Rubber Joint-Stock Co. (DPR), the second- biggest listed rubber company in Vietnam, lost 1.9 percent to 52,000 dong. The November-delivery rubber contract on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange slid as much as 1.6 percent today. The most- active contract has lost 22 percent this quarter, the worst since the global financial crisis in 2008.

Sacombank Securities Joint-Stock Co. (SBS) dropped 3.9 percent to 5,000 dong, the lowest close since May 28. The brokerage plans to sell as many as 10 million shares to a strategic partner this year to increase capital for its business operations, it said in a statement filed on the bourse’s website.
