Vietnam’s stocks: cuchi commercial, Thien Nam trading import

Vietnam’s VN Index, the benchmark measure of the HCM City Stock Exchange, declined for a third day, retreating 0.1 percent to 501.25.

Cuchi Commercial & Industrial Developing Investment Joint- Stock Co. (CCI VN), whose businesses include trading agricultural products, fuels, construction materials and properties, fell 3.4 percent to 20,000 dong. Net profit dropped to 1.9 billion dong in the fourth quarter, from 6.2 billion dong in the same period in 2009, according to a filing on the exchange’s Web site.

Thien Nam Trading Import Export Corp. (TNA VN), an importer of confectionery and trader of electrical appliances, steel and truck components, gained for the first time in three days, climbing 4 percent to 28,700 dong. Thien Nam plans to pay a 2010 dividend of 1,500 dong a share in March, according a statement on the bourse’s Web site. This is the company’s second dividend payment for 2010, it said. It paid 1,000 dong a share in August.
