Vietnam’s Stocks: Ninh Hoa Sugar, Tu Liem Urban Development

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the 11 a.m. local-time close on October 28.

The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, rose 1.8 percent to 422.07.

Ninh Hoa Sugar Joint-Stock Co. (NHS) rose by the maximum 5 percent to 33,600 dong, the highest close since May 16. The company will pay shareholders a dividend of 2,000 dong on November 30, according to a company filing on the bourse’s website.

Tu Liem Urban Development Joint-Stock Co. (NTL), which offers construction services, increased 4.6 percent to 20,400 dong. The company registered to buy back 900,000 shares from November 7 through January 7, it said in a statement filed on the exchange’s website.
