Visa most favourite credit card: survey

Visa is assessed as a type of the most favourite credit card in Vietnam, over MasterCard and Discovery, according to a survey by the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (DIV) on using credit cards in Vietnam.
This survey was directly conducted on the website of DIV. Although the scope and number of participants were limited, the survey showed reflections on the position of credit card types on the market.
With 30.9% of 446 votes, Visa was chosen as a most favourite credit card type. Following was MasterCard with 27.3%, Amex 21.5%, Discovery 9.64% and other credit cards 10.5%.
According to the latest figure released by Visa International, this group currently holds almost payment card brand names in Asia Pacific, with 62% of total card-based transactions. Presently, there are over 270 million Visa cards in this region.
In Vietnam, the value of transactions by Visa cardholders over the past years has been estimated at average over US$100 million, by international travellers in Vietnam reached about US$250 million. Of which, HCM City and Hanoi have accounted for 98% of total payment revenue.
