VN Index dips, HaSTC Index rallies

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) today March 19 continued falling on the stock market when the VN Index dipped another 14.81 points or 2.51% to close at 573.45 pts with the total matching order trade of 18,886,110 shares, a two fold increase in trading volume compared to the previous session, worth 961.124 billion dong.

Among 153 shares and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market witnessed 20 shares increasing, 13 shares stood at the reference price and 120 shares decreasing.
Out of key stocks, there were two shares increasing namely PVD and VNM up 2,000 dong to 113,000 and 114,000 dong per share and two shares remained unchanged including HPG and VIC.

Meanwhile, STB lost 2,100 dong to 42,000 dong per share, DPM slipped 1,500 dong to 51,000 dong per share and PPC dropped 1,700 dong to 39,500 dong per share.

There were two shares hitting the floor price namely FPT lost 6,000 dong to 119,000 dong per share and SSI down 3,500 dong to 70,000 dong per share.

There were three shares reaching the ceiling price including ANV, BTC added 2,500 dong and SAV up 1,500 dong per share.

STB reached the biggest trading volume with nearly four million shares and followed by DPM with 2,308,980 shares, SSI with 1,843,670 shares and others like PRUBF1, VFMVF1, REE, FPT and HAP.

Conversely, The Hanoi Securities Transaction Centre (HaSTC) today rallied as the HaSTC Index resumed 1.98 points or 1.01% to end at 197.78 pts with the total market trade of 5,507,600 shares worth nearly 271.9 billion dong.

Amongst 133 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market saw 98 shares increasing, 42 shares decreasing, one share stood still and two shares with no transactions.

ACB and ILC performed the biggest increase when adding 4,200 dong and followed by VDL up 3,800, NTP leaped 3,400, BVS bounced 3,100 and PVC bounced 2,600 dong per share.

S99 showed the strongest decline by losing 7,400 dong and followed by NPS slashed 4,900 dong, MIC lost 4,600, RCL down 4,500, PAN slipped 3,400 and LBE, SDC and VTL dropped 3,000 dong per share.

In the trading volume, KLS took the pole place with 608,000 shares, followed by PVS with 563,500 shares, ACB with 442,500 shares, PAN with 409,500 shares and PVI 292,700 shares.
