VN Index ends week by over 450pts

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) today July 11 ended a week with a surge on the stock market when the VN Index exceeded the 450-point threshold after adding another 10.04 points or 2.24% to 456.64 pts with the total matching order trade of nearly 13 million shares worth over 390 billion dong.

Among 156 share codes being listed on the southern bourse (BBT-coded share transactions were suspended from today July 11 due to the company violated regulations on listing shares), the stock market witnessed 136 shares increasing, 10 stood still at the reference price, nine decreasing and one with no trades namely KMR of Mirae JSC.

Of premier stocks, VIC stood still at 102,000 dong per share and VPL at 110,000 dog per share, remainders reached the ceiling prices. Particularly, ITA and PVD regained 2,500 dong to 95,500 dong and 96,500 dong, VNM up 3,000 to 118,000, STB leaped 700 to 26,500, SSI jumped 1,200 to 41,300, DPM and FPT bounded to 54,500 dong and 60,500 dong per share.

HPG lost 16,800 dong to 46,700 dong per share. However, the session today was the ex-interest date for the company to issue bonus shares and pay dividend. So this share code still reached the ceiling price.

Losers were VKP, BTC, SGT, SGH, SSC and MCP.
HPG took the pole place in trading volume with over one million shares, followed by VF4 with 890,490, PGC 668,040, VTO 545,130, SAM 543,390, BF1 497,080, BBC with 399,090, STB with 336,910, DPM 192,780 and SSI with 6,610 shares being transferred.

After one week witnessing many changes with 82,671,370 shares and fund certificates being changed hands, the stock market averaged 16,534,274 shares per session. After four increases and one decline, the VN Index added 16.96 more points or 3.86%.

Like previous sessions, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today July 11 continued increasing on the stock market as the HaSTC Index added another 3.84 points or 2.97% to end at 133 pts with the total market trade of 4,941,600 shares worth over 124 billion dong.

Amongst 142 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market saw 18 shares decreasing, four stood still at the comparative price including CTB, HCC, VBH and VTV, one share with no trade namely HSC and 119 increasing.

Some prominent gainers were MIC added 3,300 dong, VSP jumped 2,500, ACB and SCJ +2,200, RCL +2,100, DTC +1,900, S99 +1,800, BVS +1,600, NTP +1,500, CDC, HLY, NBC, SDC and VC2 +1,400, PAN, PVS, SD2 +1,300, HAI, PVC, QNC, SNG, TC6 and VTS +1,200 and SDA up 1,100 dong per share.

Meanwhile, some strong losers were NPS slipped 1,400 dong, L62 lost 1,200 dong and VNR down 1,100 dong per share.

SDT reached the biggest trading volume with 527,800 shares, followed by ACB with 457,600, BCC 251,300, TBC 241,800, NVC 171,400, POT 161,500, BVS 156,800, HNM 127,100 and DCS with 109,300 being traded.
