VN Index falls down to 313.76 pts on Apr 8, market trade jumps to 55m units
After four consecutive increasing sessions with a huge market trade, the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) today April 8 saw the first correction session as the VN Index reversed to fall 8.6 points or 2.67% sharply from yesterday down to 313.76 pts with a recorded matching order trade of 55 million shares worth over 1.244 trillion dong.
Compared to April 7, both trading volume and value jumped over 30%. For a long time, the market could reach a matching order trade of over one trillion dong.
Up to 70% of share code numbers fell in prices. Particularly prices of 129 codes slumped, 36 increased and 16 others stood at the comparative prices.
The majority of 10 largest cap share codes fell with a floor reduction, typically DPM tumbled 1,900 dong to 36,200 dong per share, PPC -1,500 to 28,700, PVD -3,000 to 66,000, PVF -1,000 to 20,200, VNM -4,000 to 82,500 dong/unit. Meanwhile, STB rose by 100 dong slightly to close at 18,500 dong, HAG +500 to 59,000 dong per share.
Most impressive gainer was SSI as increasing by 1,600 to 34,800 dong, ITA +1,500 to 32,400 dong, SAM +800 to 18,100, and REE +700 to 30,100 dong per share.
STB of Sacombank led the market in terms of trading volume with 6.73 million shares being changed hands, followed by SSI with nearly 4.8 million, SAM with 3.83 million, REE with 2.87 million, VF with 2.41 million fund certificates, PVT with 1.73 million and VTO with 1.55 million shares.
Concerning the northern floor, just when the session April 8 opened, HASTC Index dipped because investors massively offloaded shares. Finally, the Hanoi bourse’s index was down 5.37 points or 4.70% from the previous session to end at 108.93 pts. The session recorded a trading volume of 30,219,900 shares for over 741.288 billion dong.
Prices of 42 share codes increased, 72 decreased and 13 stood still.
BVS of Bao Viet Securities Joint Stock Co is becoming the hottest share on Vietnam’s stock market when investors registered to buy a large volume of BVS despite the share price doubled during the past one-month.
In the session, 1.2 million KLS shares were traded while HPC and VSP surged 2,700 dong to 59,900 dong per share, ACB fell 200 dong to 33,600 dong with a trading volume of over 1.1 million shares.
