VN Index gains another 0.5pct to exceed 386pts August 16

In the trading session today Tuesday August 16, many key stocks gained points with about 1-3 percent at the end of the trading session. However, the trading volume of share codes on Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) reached below one million units.

The VN Index ended with a slight gain of 0.56 percent to 386.48 pts. The total trading volume reached 17.9 million shares, up 13 percent in volume from the previous trading session. The market saw 134 gainers and 78 losers.

STB reached the biggest trading volume with 974,000 units. STB ended with a gain of 2.34 percent to 13,100 dong per share.
Many other blue-chips also maintained the upward trend till the end of the trading session with gain of 1-3 percent such as HAG, HPG, LCG, SSI and SJS.

ITA closed with a gain of 2.4 percent to 8,400 dong per share.

GTT still kept the ceiling price at 6,300 dong per share with the third biggest trading volume of over 666,000 units.
Similarly, the HNX Index also bounced 0.08 percent with a trading volume of 16 million units, equalling to the volume of the previous trading session.

At the time of closing the trading session, the market saw 136 gainers and 84 losers.

Many key stocks gained over 1 percent like KLS, VND, BVS, SHB, and VCG. Of which, KLS reached the biggest trading volume with nearly 2.5 million shares. KLS ended with a gain of 1.02 percent to 9,900 dong per share.

APG reached the ceiling price to 4,600 dong per share by early the trading session, but hit the floor at the time of closing the trading session.
