VN Index gains points for 11th consecutive session

With over 45 percent of listed shares gaining points, at the closing time, the VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) increased for the 11th consecutive trading session, up 6.66 points to 459.92 pts.

The trading volume decreased 20 percent while the trading value fell 25 percent from the previous trading session to 715.8 billion dong.

In the group of large market capitalisation shares, MSN reached the ceiling price, VIC gained 3.4 percent and BVH was up 1.4 percent. Some key stocks were traded around the reference price including ITA, SSI, STB, REE and VCB.

SSI and IJC led the market in terms of trading volume with nearly two million shares being transferred each. SSI ended with fall of 100 dong to 21,000 dong per share.

VCF of Vinacafe Bien Hoa slipped to the floor price of 93,500 dong per share with a trading volume of over 10,000 units. In two trading session, VCF lost total 7 percent, narrowing the gap between the official trading price on the floor and the publicly offered price of Masan at 80,000 dong per share.

Conversely, the HNX Index on the northern bourse slipped 0.2 percent to 76.78 pts.

The trading value also declined 15 percent from previous trading session to reach 715.5 billion dong.

Some share codes reached high trading volume such as PVX, KLS, VND and VCG and the group of bank shares including HBB, SHB and ACB.
