VN Index keeps increasing impetus, trading turnover achieves new record

In the trading session today July 16, the Vietnamese stock market witnessed a tense and eventful session when the supply increased strongly. With the strong advancing impetus from previous sessions, ending the trading session, the VN Index added another 6.73 points or 1.4% to 486.53 pts with the total matching order trade of over 37.2 million shares and fund certificates worth 1.247 trillion dong. If including negotiated transactions, the total trading volume reached 38,664,790 units valued at over 1.35 trillion dong.

Among 156 stocks and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market saw 98 share codes increasing, 16 stood still at the reference price and 42 falling.

Out of top ten largest capitalisation shares, SSI hit the ceiling price with 1,300 dong to 45,000 dong per share whereas VNM lost 3,000 dong to the floor price at 120,000 dong per share. STB up 800 to 28,800, PPC +900 to 31,900, HPG +1,000 to 62,000, DPM and FPT +1,500 to 59,000 and 65,000, ITA and PVD +3,000 to 103,000 and 104,000 dong per share.

Many key stocks fell such as DHG, BMI, DMC, NKD, TTP, AGF, MPC, SAM and ANV.

STB regained the first place in trading volume with over 6.6 million shares, followed by DPM with 3,128,060, VF1 2,271,680, HPG 2,023,900, VTO 1,783,870, PPC 1,066,380, PVD 825,520, VF4 750,530 and others like REE, FPT, BF1, DQC, SAM, GMD, PVT and TTP.

Like the southern floor, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today July 16 continued increasing on the stock market as the HaSTC Index added 4.91 points or 3.44% to close at 147.74 pts with the total market trade of 19,317,900 shares worth over 586 billion dong.

Amongst 142 share codes being listed on the northern floor, the stock market recorded 122 shares increasing, 13 decreasing, five stood still and two with no trades namely HSC and L62.
Five stood still including HCT, PVE, TBC, VBH and XMC.

13 losers were NPS -1,300, VTL-900, NGC -700, LUT -600, C92, HBE, -500, HCC -400, HUT, SRA -300, CIC -200 and BCC, DHI and TBH -100 dong per share.

VSP performed the biggest increase after surging 2,800 dong, MIC +2,600, SCJ up 2,300, KBC +2,200, RCL and DTC +2,100 dong.

ACB took the pole place in trading volume with 2.611 million shares, followed by KLS with 2,455,500 shares, PVI 790,200, SD7 548,000, HPC 531,600, CSG 451,100, DBC 450,900 and NTP with 422,700 shares being traded.
