VN Index keeps upward momentum Sep 7
The VN Index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) today September 7 posted the ninth consecutive gain to nearly 444 points and the HNX Index also increased over 4 percent, the strongest gain in the past six months.
At the closing time, the VN Index increased over 7.8 points or 1.8 percent to 443.99 points.
Thus, the VN Index increased for the ninth consecutive trading session, up 12 percent from August 24.
Amongst three largest market capitalisation shares, BVH reached the ceiling price whereas VIC and MSN stood still at the reference price. Except FPT, most of key stocks gained points such as SSI, PVD, PVF, VNM, HPG, HAG and KDC.
The group of real estate shares also reached the ceiling price such as OGC, ITA, ITC, KBC, QCG, NTL and HQC.
LCG of Licogi 16 reached the ceiling price by the end of the trading session with trading volume of over 4.4 million shares.
The HNX Index also returned to gain points after two straight falls, increasing over 4 percent to exceed 76.7 points. The trading volume and value increased 25 percent from the previous trading session.
At the time of closing the trading session, there were nearly 125 million shares being traded at the ceiling price of the total 251 gainers.
In the group of bank shares, NVB lost points while SHB and HBB reached the ceiling price and ACB also bounced over 4.4 percent by the end of the trading session.
The share group of securities companies also reached the ceiling price today.
