VN Index loses points, HNX Index rallies
Ending the trading session today May 11, the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) lost another 0.02 points to end at 534.36 pts with the total matching order trade of 65.21 million shares worth 2.175 trillion dong, down 14 percent in volume and 15 percent in value against the previous session.
According to the statistic, amongst 230 share codes and fund certificates, the market witnessed 97 shares increasing, 94 decreasing and 40 standing still.
Many key stocks kept increasing momentum such as STB, BVH, CTG, HAG, VNM, KBC, DPM and PPC whereas others decreased including SSI, SJS, FPT, PVF.
Bank shares and Blue-chips remained unchanged like VCB, EIB, HPG and PVD.
SSI continued to lead the market in terms of trading volume with over 3.6 million shares and followed by PVT with over 2.4 million, STB over 2.1 million, OGC and VNE with over 1.4 million each, TCM and SBT with over 1.3 million shares and VTO with over 1.2 million shares.
Unlike the southern bourse, the HNX Index regained 0.73 points or 0.4 percent to end at 182.43 pts.
The total trading volume reached nearly 48.7 million shares valued at nearly 1.8 trillion dong.
Some shares reached big trading volume including ACB with over 1.3 million, APS 1.65 million, KLS 1.4 million, PVl 1.1 million, PVS over 1.5 million, PVX nearly 1.4 million, VCG nearly 1.4 million, VGS and VND with over one million each and VSP with over 1.3 million.
