VN Index records third consecutive increase to 307.26 pts

Vetnam’s stock market today December 19 ended a week with the third consecutive increase as the index of Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) continued increasing 1.7 points or 0.56% to 307.26 pts. Thus, during the trading week with five sessions, the stock market recorded four increases and one decrease and the VN Index gained 7.72 points or 2.58% as against the last session of pervious week.

The trading volume today reached nearly 11.1 million shares worth 276.44 billion dong, rising 6% in volume and 12% in value from previous session.

Among 169 share codes and four fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market saw 88 shares increased with 36 reaching the ceiling price, 48 others decreased with 13 falling to the floor price and 37 remaining shares stood still at the comparative price.

Out of top ten largest capitalisation shares, four shares increased, four others decreased and two remainders remained unchanged namely FPT and HPG.

IMP was the biggest gainer with 3,000 dong and followed by SJS with 2,500 dong and BT6 with 2,000 dong per share.

STB still led the market in trading volume with 1.48 million shares, followed by SSI 970,000, DPM 660,000, HSG 550,000 and HPG with 500,000 shares being traded.

Conversely, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today December 19 tumbled as the HaSTC Index slipped 0.5 points or 0.46% to 107.72 pts with the total market trade of 6.93 million shares valued at nearly 158 billion dong.

Amongst 167 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market saw 53 shares decreased, 25 shares remained unchanged including BTH, CIC, CTN, DBC, DCS, EBS, KKC, LTC, MKV, NBC, NLC, NVC, POT, PVC, S64, S96, SD2, SD8, SDY, SRB, STC, TST, TV4, VC5 and VNC, 15 shares with no trade including CJC, CTB, CTC, DHI, HSC, L62, LBE, LUT, MCO, NST, ONE, PSC, TPH, VC6 and VDL and 74 remaining shares increased.

Some big losers were VC2 -1,600, MIC and VCG -1,100 and YSC -1,000 dong per share. Other losers lost below 1,000 dong per share.

DTC was the biggest gainer with 2,500 dong per share, HLY and VTS +2,100, KBC +1,700, BHV +1,600, DAC +1,400, TCS +1,300 and SD5 +1,100 dong per share.

ACB regained the pole place in trading volume with 1,051,800 shares, followed by KLS with 928,100, VGS 441,100, BTS 391,800, VCG 327,700, PVS 273,400 and BVS with 221,200 shares being changed hands.
