VN Index slides, turnover dips
Ending the session on November 28, the securities index declined in two both stock floors when the VN Index lost over three marks and the HaSTC Index also dropped nearly one point. Notably, the trading volume and value fell considerably with only over nine million shares changed hands in both bourses.
On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, the VN Index lost another 3.51 points or 0.35% to close at 984.57 with the total matching order trade of 6,983,850 shares worth 711.294 billion dong, a 17% decrease in volume and 25% decrease in value.
The session on November 28 saw a newcomer coded TPC of Tan Dai Hung Plastic Joint Stock Co, bringing the total share codes traded via the southern floor to 128 shares. The plastic maker listed 10.4 million shares. In the first trading session, TPC-coded shares were traded at 69,000 dong per share with 270,120 shares traded.
Among 125 listed shares on the southern floor, the stock market saw 51 with increasing while 49 falling and 26 remained unchanged. Out of two fund certificates, the BF1 slipped 100 dong to 10,500 dong per fund certificate with 125,060 units transferred and VF1 down 200 dong to 28,800 dong each with 79,330 units traded.
DHG performed the strongest increase when adding 6,000 dong to 265,000 dong and followed by KDC up 5,000 dong to 205,000 dong, ALT raised 4,000 dong to 88,000 dong and BTC added 3,500 dong, STB lifted 500 dong to 68,000 dong per share with 1,072,540 shares changed hands, SAM up 1,000 dong, SSI added 1,000 dong to 259,000 dong per share with 409,500 shares traded, HAP with 309,870 shares, TPC with 270,120 shares, VIC with 237,300 shares, MCV with 153,750 shares and others reached below 150,000 units.
The share code HPG of Hoa Phat Group after falls regained 2,000 dong and LAF reached the ceiling price with adding 2,100 dong per share.
Meanwhile, DHA showed the biggest decline as losing 25,000 dong to 70,000 dong, VIC and VNM lost 4,000 dong to 165,000 dong and 170,000 dong per share with 129,280 shares traded, BMC lost 3,000 dong to 367,000 dong, DMC dropped 2,000 dong, FPT slipped 2,000 dong to 241,000 dong per share, SJS and SFI dropped 1,000 dong to 138,000 dong and 255,000 dong per share, ITA down 1,000 dong, DPM lost 1,000 dong to 78,000 dong per share with 667,720 shares traded along with other stocks like HBC, GMD, NKD and PPC.
The session on November 28 witnessed four medium and small-caps reaching the ceiling price including ALT added 4,000 dong, BTC up 3,500 dong to 78,000 dong per share, LAF increased 2,100 dong and NHC jumped 2,200 dong per share.
In trading volume, STB took the first place with 1,072,540 shares traded and followed by DPM with 667,720 shares, SSI with 409,500 shares, HAP with 309,870 shares and TPC with 270,120 shares.
On the northern floor, the HaSTC Index declined slightly 0.55 points or 0.16% to close at 339.93 with a total market trade of 2,314,500 shares worth nearly 232.781 billion dong, a nearly 30% decrease in trading volume and 28% decrease in value.
ACB took the first position in trading volume with 262,700 shares and followed by HPC with 228,100 shares and PPG with 156,400 shares traded.
The stock market ended with 62 shares falling and 32 increasing, three stood still and three with no transactions.
HSC was the biggest decliner when losing 10,000 dong to 230,000 dong per share and followed by SD6 plunged 4,400 dong to 91,000 dong, SDC down 4,000 dong, SCJ slipped 3,800 dong, CDC decreased 2,600 dong, NBC lost 2,400 dong, BHV fell 2,200 dong, ACB down 800 dong, RCL slipped 600 dong, PVS lost 1,000 dong, PVI tumbled 700 dong and PVC dropped 1,900 dong.
SD3 showed the strongest increased by adding 18,300 dong to 201,900 dong per share, followed by S55 bounded 8,200 dong to 216,300 dong, NPS up 5,200 dong, TPH added 4,300 dong, YSC raised 4,000 dong and BVS regained 200 dong per share. The newcomer VDL reached the ceiling price to 91,900 dong per share.
Taking the first position in trading volume was ACB with 262,700 shares and followed by HPC with 228,100 shares, PPG with 156,400 shares, TBC with 115,800 shares, PVI with 115,300 shares and PVS with 103,100 shares.
