VN Index slumps to 841.23 pts, turnover dips
Ending the trading session on February 12, VN Index slipped 18.39 points or 2.13% to 841.23 pts with the total matching order trade of 6,428,550 shares worth 477.424 billion dong, accounting for 43% in volume and 37.5% in value in comparison with the trading session on February 1.
Among 148 shares being listing on the southern bourse including the code VPL of Vinpearl Trade and Tourism Joint Stock Co, the stock market saw 34 shares increasing while 18 share stood at the reference price and 96 shares decreasing.
Shares with the largest market capitalisation together fell except ITA of Tan Tao Industrial zone Joint Stock Co stood at the comparative price of 124,000 dong per share.
SJS showed the strongest decline when losing 9,000 dong to 241,000 dong per share, PVD and SSI slipped 6,000 dong to 144,000 and 137,000 dong per share along with others like FPT, HPG, VNM, VIC, STB and DPM. FPT and VNM lost 5,000 to 193,000 and 140,000 dong per share.
Out of gainers, TCT reached the ceiling price when adding 13,000 dong to 275,000 dong per share, TSC ad SFI added 5,000, VCS lifted 6,000 and others including DIC, ABT, LSS, NAV and TPC.
Meanwhile, many shares hitting the floor price such as HAP, SGH, VHG, PIT and SGT.
In the trading volume, DPM took the first place with 531,210 shares traded and followed by STB with 358,950 shares, SSI with 241,670 shares transferred.
Regarding the northern bourse, the HaSTC Index also dropped 8.09 points or 2.71% to 290.11 pts with the total market trade of 2,878,300 shares worth over 227 billion dong.
Amongst 127 listed shares on the Hanoi Securities Transaction Centre, the stock market witnessed 35 shares increasing while one share stood still, three shares with no transactions and 88 shares decreasing.
One share remained unchanged was DST and three shares with no trades were HSC, VTV and YSC.
S99 showed the biggest decline when losing 15,700 dong to 301,400 dong per share and followed by MIC lost 10,400, S96 slipped 8,800 and SIC dropped 6,500 dong per share.
NBC performed the strongest increase when adding 8,200 dong or 9.92% to 90,900 dong per share and followed by PTS, PSC, HTP, PJC and NST.
