VN Index still over 900pts mark despite a slip

After two sessions climbing up the session ended on August 28 with the VN Index dropping by 6.49 or 0.71% to close at 902.58 with a total matching order trade of 4,966,870 shares worth 518.316 billion dong, a 25% decrease in volume from the previous session.
During the session, the market witnessed 57 share codes falling while 35 increased and 22 others remained unchanged.
Among the share codes that fell, ITA lost 5,000 dong, KDC, SAM, DHG and VNM dropped by 2,000 dong par, PPC –500 dong, PVD –300 dong and STB slipped by 500 dong per share.
Another noticeable point in the session today was that BMC and TCT suddenly slipped by 27,000 dong per share to 517,000 dong par with a total matching order trade of 138,360 shares, TCT dipped by 19,000 dong back to 369,000 dong per share. Others dropped from 6,000 dong par.
Among the group that increased IMP and DMC rose by 7,000 dong per share to 160,000 dong and 152,000 dong par, LGC and NKD +5,000 dong to 105,000 dong and 235,000 dong per share, HAP climbed 4,000 dong to reach 85,000 dong per share, VSH +1,800, DRC +4,000.
With a total matching order trade of nearly 450,000 shares, STB continued to hold the largest trading volume, VSH stood in second position with 26,000 shares, VIP 211,000, VFMVF1 202,410 shares.
Regarding the northern floor, at the close of the session on August 28 the HaSTC Index continued upwards by 0.39 points or 0.155% to close at 250.69 with a total matching order trade of 555,200, a 57% drop from the last session worth about 54.328 billion dong, a decrease of 66% in trade.
Taking the first position in trading volume was SSI with 109,400 shares, followed by ACB with 91,200, NTP 69,800, BCC 32,900 and BMI 27,800 shares.
During the session, the HaSTC welcomed its 89th share code, namely SSS of Song Da 6.06 Joint Stock Co with the price of 50,700 dong per share.
The session saw 42 share codes decreasing, 25 increasing, four remaining stationary and the other 18 with no transactions.
The shares that fell included S99 dropping by 7,400 dong to 367,400 dong, SD7 –2,800 dong to 116,100 dong, SDT –2,700 and SJE –2,500, HLY dropped 2,000 dong. ACB rose slightly by 500 dong or 0.42% to 117,400 dong per share with 91,200 shares transferred successfully. Similarly, SSI slumped by 600 dong or 0.38% to 157,000 dong per share.
CIC and NTP saw the strongest increase in price by rising 2,600 dong per share to 31,400 dong and 104,500 dong.
Foreign investors today purchased 17 share codes and sold two share codes with a total trading volume of 109,900 shares worth over 14 billion dong.
