After three increases since the start of this week, the VN Index today July 31 surpassed the threshold of 450 points when increasing 3.09 pts or 0.68% to 451.36 pts, marking the fourth consecutive increase within this week, with the total matching order trades of over 13.1 million shares worth 462 billion dong, down 37% in volume and 25% in value against the previous session.
Among 160 shares and fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market recorded 65 shares increasing, nine stood still at the comparative price and 86 falling.
Most key stocks increased such as DPM, HPG, FPT up 1,500 dong to 57,500 dong, 55,000 and 67,000 dong per share, ITA and PVD reached the ceiling price with 2,500 dong to 89,000 and 100,000 dong per share.
STB added 100 dong to 23,600 dong per share and VNM leaped 2,000 to 109,000 dong per share and others like PET, TSC, VIS, BMC, NHC, TCT, GMD and REE.
Three losers were SSI slipped 1,200 dong to 41,000, VIC down 1,000 to 106,000 and PPC dropped 400 dong to 29,200 dong per share.
DPM reached the biggest trading volume with nearly 2.1 million shares, STB with over 1.8 million, PET 699,310, TTP 615,680, FPT 595,720, VF1 533,470, PVD 422,530, REE 359,500 and HPG with 287,780 shares being traded.
Conversely, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today July 31 ended a month with a tumble as the HaSTC Index fell 2.14 points or 1.47% to 143.32 pts with the total market trades of 6,419,100 shares valued at over 223 billion dong.
Amongst 146 listed shares and fund certificates, the stock market saw 39 shares increasing, five remained unchanged, nine with no transactions and 93 decreasing.
ACB stood at the first place in trading volume with 989,900 shares, followed by PVS with 988,300, KLS with 490,500 and PVI with 281,800 shares being changed hands.
