VNE holding company posts 50.56b dong profit in Q2/2012
Vietnam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Corp (coded VNE) has recently announced its fiscal statement for the second quarter of 2012 of the holding company with net revenue of 207 billion dong, five fold increase from the same period last year.
Its original costs of goods for sales also surged sharply but it was still lower than the increase of revenue, reaching 123 billion dong.
The holding company’s consolidated profit in Q2/2012 was 83 billion dong, nine fold increase year-on-year. Its financial costs decreased 71 percent on year to 21 billion dong while management costs increased negligibly, to 6.6 billion dong.
After spending on costs and taxes, VNE gained over 50 billion dong profit in Q2/2012 while in the same period last year, it suffered a loss of nearly 58 billion dong.
Accumulatively, in Jan-Jun, VNE reached revenue of 275 billion dong, increasing 3-times YoY. After spending 162 billion dong on the original cost of goods for sale, the holding company’s consolidated profit was 113 billion dong, 4.7 fold increase y-o-y.
After spending on costs and taxes, the company posted 68.5 billion dong profit in Jan-Jun while its loss in last H1 was 57 billion dong. The earnings per share (EPS) in Jan-Jun reached 1,103 dong.
