VNG: Swings to 464m dong Net Loss in Q2/2012

Golf Vietnam Tourism JSC. (VNG) swung to a net loss of VND463.97 million in the second quarter of this year versus a net profit of VND838 million from a year earlier, the firm said on its financial statements.

The company earned VND4.95 billion net revenue during the period, down 72 percent from a year ago.

In the first half of this year, VNG made a net profit of VND978.9 million on net revenue of VND19.3 billion, compared to a net profit of VND2.25 billion and revenue of VND32.98 billion in H1/2011, respectively.

As of end June 30, VNG had total assets of VND205.467 billion against VND205.175 billion at the beginning of the year.

At 9:37 July 18, VNG was being traded up 3.51 percent at VND5,900 per share; or trailing P/E at 25.68x, the StoxPlus data showed.
