Airports of Thailand will give concessionaires one year of credit on payments due during the Covid-19 downturn.

In its initial support plan for concessionaires and airlines, the company announced a six month credit term for all concession charges from February to December this year.

Following a meeting of the Board of directors on Wednesday, the company has decided to extend the payment term to 12 months rather than six months. Airports of Thailand cited “that the concessionaires and airlines are still being affected by the severe and ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in many countries as well as governmental travel restrictions.”

The new extension only applies to concessionaire payments from February to July.
