All indexes down again

Second day of slight fall in the market.

On the HSX the VN Index decreased 4.93 points (0.74 per cent) and the VN30-Index 4.32 points (0.69 per cent), and on the HNX the HNX-Index decreased 0.7 points (0.87 per cent) and the HNX30-Index 1.64 points (1.12 per cent).

The VNAll-Index closed down 5.96 points (0.62 per cent) and the UPCoM Index rose 0.22 points (0.39 per cent). The VNMid Index decreased 7.43points (0.91 per cent) while VNSml increased 0.62 (0.08 per cent).

The HSX saw 84 shares increasing and 153 decreasing while the HNX saw 72 increasing and 107 decreasing.

Liquidity on the HNX was VND507billion ($22.31 million), 74 per cent higher than yesterday and on the HSX was VND3.1trillion ($136 million), up 40 per cent.

The VN Index opened at 665.14 points, decreasing significantly to 661.9.1 by the middle of morning session and falling again to close at 660.4 points at close of morning session. The VN Index continued decreasing to a low of 658.1 points at the beginning of the afternoon session, and after that, it recovered to 659 before slightly increasing to close at 660.21at the end of the day’s trade.

VNM closed at its opening price while most of large caps on HSX fell.

VNM on trade of some VND143 billion ($6.29 million), was the third highest trading value on HSX after ROS with some VND299 billion ($13.1 million) changing hands and HPG with VND260 billion ($11.44 million) trading volume. The price of ROS and HSG decreased 4.3 per cent and increased 0.5 per cent respectively.

In banking, all of the large caps lost ground; EIB 4.3 per cent, STB 3.1 per cent, VCB 1.1 per cent, MBB 0.8 per cent, BID 0.7 per cent and CTG 0.6 per cent.

In energy, all large caps also closed lower; PGD 4 per cent, CNG 2.1 per cent and GAS 2 per cent.

Among the large caps the on HSX, MWG was down 4.8 per cent, BVH 1.5 per cent, VIC 0.1 per cent and MSN up 0.6 per cent.

Among the large caps on the HNX, most of them also decreased: SHB 2 per cent, ACB and PVS 1.1 per cent, VCS and VCG 0.6 per cent. PTI and PHP increased 3.5 per cent and 1.9 per cent respectively.

Foreign investors net sold on HSX by VND13 billion ($572,260 million) focusing on bluechips such as VNM net sold VND55.1 billion ($2.42 million), HPG net sold VND26.6 billion ($1.17 million), MSN net sold VND19.8 billion ($871,596), and on the HNX by VND8 billion ($352,160).
