Another Korean bank present in Vietnam

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has granted the License to establish Daegu Bank HCM City branch to the representative of Daegu Bank Choi Jae Ho Head Representative Office of Daegu Bank in HCM City.

Acting Chief of Supervision of the bank Nguyen Van Du said that the presence of Daegu Bank in HCM City will exploit the existing strengths as well as the potential of the Vietnam’s market, which has a favourable geographic position of being the international gateway for aviation and maritime. The SBV supports and appreciates the presence of Daegu Bank in Vietnam in the form of a foreign bank branch.

Daegu Bank was established in 1967, under the Banking Law to support the local economy and is a strong symbol in harmony with the development of the local economy in particular and the national economy in general. The bank’s headquarter is in Daegu city, one of the four largest cities in South Korea, and is the third largest urban centers in the country.
