Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, wishes to learn Hanoi’s development experience, said Armenian Ambassador to Vietnam Vahram Kazhoyan at a meeting with Chair of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung in Hanoi on October 21.

Ambassador Vahram Kazhoyan emphasized that the relationship between Armenia and Vietnam has been increasingly improved and the meeting with the Hanoi mayor aims to promote the relationship between the two capitals to a new height.

For his part, Chair Nguyen Duc Chung hoped that in his position, the ambassador would be a “bridge” to further promote the relationship between the two countries, as well as between Hanoi and Armenia’s localities.

Affirming the two countries still have great potential for development in numerous fields such as tourism, cultural exchange, trade, the Hanoi mayor expressed his desire to learn Armenia’s experience in preserving and developing heritages and architectural works.

Chung also appreciated the desire for a twinning relationship between the two capitals, adding that building local relations would be the foundation for the two countries’ development.

Hanoi is willing to share development experiences and support cultural exchanges between the two sides. The capital city stands ready to welcome Armenian art troupes to perform in Hanoi’s pedestrian street, Chung stressed.

He wished Ambassador Vahram Kazhoyan a successful term, contributing to building a good relationship between Hanoi and Armenia’s localities.
