The Brunei freight & logistics market was valued at USD 157.25 million
in 2017.

To lessen the burden for Brunei organizations, the government has
provided customs tax reduction for several items. The machinery and
industrial equipment that utilize electricity will see reduction from
20% to 5% and heavy vehicles will see a reduction from 20% to 5%.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Town & Planning Department, two
possible sites in Kg Long Mayan and Kg Binturan have been identified as
options for the second international airport for Brunei Darussalam.
Royal Brunei Airlines is restructuring its strategy and focus toward

flights. Muara Port plans to extend the container wharf to serve as a
second container berth to a total quay length of 400 m.

Islamic culture. The Brunei Halal brand was a first mover concept.

Corridor is to tap the Halal trade, and hence, even a bio-innovation
zone is being developed and augmented post this partnership, which was
formalized in 2014 and has been maintaining considerable momentum
