* Hoang Trong Nguyen, vice chair of Ha Tay Pharmaceutical Company (DHT), will offload 135,000 DHT shares to reduce his stake from over 7.8 percent to 5.7 percent between January 12 and 30.

* The Hanoi Stock Exchange has announced the ten biggest securities enterprises by market share in the fourth quarter of 2014.Saigon- Hanoi Securities Company ranked first with 8.4 percent market share, followed by Saigon Securities Incorporation with over 7.5 percent and HCM City Securities Corporation with 6.7 percent.

* Ocean Group Company has registered to sell its entire stake of over five million shares, or 9.7 percent, at PetroVietnam Premier Recreation Company (PVR) from January 9 to February 6.

* Individual investor Ngo Thi Ngoc Lieu will offload 433,600 shares of Nam Long Investment Corporation (NLG) to lower her holding to around eight million shares over one month starting from January 13.

* Military-run telecom group Viettel earned revenue of around VND 197 trillion (some $10 billion) in 2014, up 20 percent against the year earlier, and after-tax profit of VND33 trillion. The enterprise targets to invest in 25 overseas markets with a combined population of 600-800 million until 2020

* Le Van Truong, a board member of KhanhHoi Import Export Company (KHA), will offload 300,000 KHA shares to reduce his holding to around 468,000 shares over one month starting from January 13.

* Vingroup Company (VIC) has decided to establish two subsidiaries, Vinds Trading and Service Company and Vinpro Trading and Service Company, with chartered capital ofVND50 billion each. The parent firm owns 70 percent of Vinds and 94 percent of Vinpro.

* Vinh Linh Investment Company for the first time has registered to buy over 1.5 million shares (0.6 percent) of Kinh Do Corporation (KDC) over one month starting from January 9.

* Nguyen Van Trac, vice chair of Sacom Development and Investment Corporation (SAM), will acquire an additional six million SAM shares to raise his stake to over 6.1 million shares between January 13 and February 11.

* Nam A Bank has got approval from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to raise its chartered capital by VNDl trillion (US$46.6 million) to VND4 trillion.

* State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) will sell its entire stake of over 193,600 shares, or 13 percent, at Hung Yen Book Publishing and Educational Equipment Co (HST) between January 19 and February 13.

* Tasco Company (HUT) has issued ten million shares for the conversion of VND100 billion (US$4.7 million) worth of bonds, raising its registered capital to nearly VND946.5 billion, Viet Capital Securities Company reports.

* Nguyen Khac Son, a board member of Thu Due Housing Development Corporation (TDH), will sell his entire stake totalling 31,000 TDH shares between January 12 and February 10.

* Military Insurance Company reported profit ofVND45 billion (US$2.1 million) on revenue of VND 1.1 trillion last year, up over 32 percent and 33 percent year-on-year respectively.

* Tran Tuc Ma, general director of Traphaco Company (TRA), has registered to buy an additional 200,000 TRA shares to scale up his holding from 2.5 percent to over 3.3 percent between January 12 and February 10.

* HCM City Infrastructure Investment Company (CII) has been allowed to float an additional 71 million shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange to raise its total outstanding volume to 186.7 million shares. The new shares are tradable on January 14.

* Individual investor Vuong Buu Ngoc has registered to sell over 360,009 shares of Kinh Do Corporation (KDC) to lower his holding to 23,400 shares over one month starting from January 9.

* PAN Pacific Corporation will acquire an extra 250,000 shares of Ben Tre Aquaproduct Import and Export Company (ABT) to raise its stake by over two percentage points to 64.6 percent from today to February 6.

* The Ministry of Finance has told the authorities of provinces and cities to review and consider lowering the prices of animal feed and fertilisers as input costs and the world’s oil prices have declined sharply. Besides, fertiliser and animal feed products are no longer subject to value-added tax as from January 1.

* Jetstar Pacific refused to transport a passenger of Flight BL808 departing from HeMe to Hanoi on Tuesday night for making a bombing joke during check- in procedures. On Monday afternoon, a criminal escorted fromHanoitoHCMCityalso made a bombing threat on a flight of Vietnam Airlines, causing a two-hour delay.

* UPS yesterday launched its Worldwide Express Freight service inVietnamfor urgent, time sensitive and high-value international heavy weight shipments. UPS now offers the service, which is suitable for product launches, inventory shortages or equipment failure replacement parts, to 50 origin and 51 destination countries and territories throughout the world. For customers in the manufacturing, automotive, high-tech, retail and healthcare industries with palletised shipments over 70kg, UPS offers the guaranteed, day-definite and door-to-door service in more lanes. For shipments originating from Asia-Pacific, delivery can be as fast as overnight to cities within Asia and just three days to Europe and theAmericas.

* Individual investor Nguyen Thi Le Mai will offload her entire stake totalling around 23,400 shares (0.2 percent) of Lilama Company No. 10 (110) over nearly one month starting from January 9.

* Chau Thi Thu Nga, National Assembly (NA) deputy ofHanoi, is in police custody for allegedly Swindling home buyers in her capacity as chairwoman and general director of Housing Group. InVietnam, NA deputies are protected from prosecution. Though the NA Standing Committee approved the police’s prosecution request, she was just temporarily suspended from the NA and her status as a NA deputy remains until the legislative body invalidates it.

* Herbalife yesterday introduced to Vietnamese consumers AQUA shampoo and conditioner products which help maintain moisture for hair of users. According to Herbalife, AQUA shampoo is made with a paraben and sulfate free formula. The shampoo is claimed to keep hair smelling fresh with fruity green fragrance. Meanwhile, with AQUA conditioner, hair and scalp are kept soft and moisturised.

* The area codes of landline phones in 59 out of the country’s 63 provinces and cities nationwide will be changed next March in line with a recent circular issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications. The area codes of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh and Ha Giang will be kept unchanged. Besides, the ministry will switch 11-digit mobile phone numbers to tendigit ones in the next two years after the change of the landline area codes is finished.
