* Hoang Quan Consulting – Trading – Service Real Estate Corporation (HQC) has been allowed to add 30 million shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange to scale up its total outstanding volume to 200 million shares. The new shares will be tradable on January 26.
* Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (Sacombank) has set aside VND3 trillion to lend to individuals to buy homes, invest in property and cover personal expenses with a preferential interest rate of 6.8-7.9 percent per year from now until June 30.
* Pham Ngoc Sinh, member of the controllers board at Petrolimex Tanker Company (PJT), will acquire an additional 200,000 PJT shares to raise his stake from nearly 1.2 percent to around 3 percent between January 20 and 12.
* Dong ai Port Company (PDN) earned revenue of VND270 billion (US$12.6 million) and profit ofVND47.5 billion last year, up 35 percent and 5 percent year-on-year respectively.
* KSH Investment and Development Company (KSH) has got approval to add 15 million shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange to raise its total outstanding volume to nearly 27.3 million shares.
* Individual investor Le Anh Trung has registered to buy an additional 200,000 shares of Ha Tay Pharmaceutical Company (DHT) to raise his holding to nearly 6.2 percent from 3 percent between January 21 and February 6.
* Mien Trung Power Investment and Development Company (SEB) has announced January 26 as the ex-dividend date to pay a 2014 first round dividend in cash for shareholders at 6 percent.
* Nguyen Huu Bien, vice chair of DNA Investment Company (KSD), will buy an extra 300,000 KSD shares to raise his ownership from around 4 percent to 6.5 percent over three weeks starting from January 20.
* PetroVietnam Southern Gas Company (PGS) said it may post pre-tax profit ofVND242 billion (US$1l.3 million) on revenue of over VND7.5 trillion in 2014, up 24 percent and 10 percent respectively against the year’s targets.
* Dang Minh Hai, a-board member of Hung Yen Book Publishing and Educational Equipment Company (HST), has registered to buy an extra 95,000 HST shares to raise his stake to over 103,300 shares from January 20 to February 13.
* The 34th meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly (NA) is taking place in
Hanoi until tomorrow for delegates to discuss the amended laws on military service, veterinary and organisation of the government, the amendments and issuance oflegal documents for the enforcement of the laws on organisation of the NA, supervision of the NA and the People’s Councils, the draft laws on organisation of local’ governments, and the law on job safety, Sai Gon Giai Phong reports. Besides, delegates will give comments on preparations for the 132nd Inter- Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly and related meetings scheduled for late March in Hanoi.
* Vietnam wants to enhance cooperation with Uruguay’s general Assembly in terms of bilateral relations and international forums, ational Assembly Chair Nguyen Sinh Hung said yesterday at his meeting with Arubal Pereyra, President of the Chamber of Deputies of the general Assembly of Uruguay, who is in Vietnam for a visit. After the meeting, both sides signed a cooperation agreement between the two assemblies.
* VietJetAir has announced a plan to fly daily between Hanoi and Quy Nhon from April 26 and sell tickets for this route from January 26 with fares starting from VND699,000. As scheduled, Hanoi-Quy Nhon flights with a flying time of one hour and 45 minutes will depart from Hanoi at 10:25 a.m. and from Quy Nhon at 12:35 p.m.
* Nissan Vietnam has introduced the 2015 Juke crossover imported from the UK with a suggested retail price ofVNDl.06 billion, inclusive of value-added tax (VAT). Buyers of the 2015 Juke can get a warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers.
* Ship Xuan Lam 10 ofNam Dinh Province-based Xuan Lam Co. Ltd sank around 1.2 nautical miles off the central province of Quang Ngai’s Sa Ky Port yesterday due to high waves while carrying 3, 110 tonnes of clinkerto Vung Ro Port in Phu Yen Province, Thanh Nien reports. Ten crewrnembers of the ship were rescued.
* Panasonic has launched new models of air conditioners with a focus on providing cool comfort for customers. The new models feature iAuto-X function to provide a new cooling experience by combining two key technologies ofP-TECh and AEROWINGS. Panasonic’s other technologies as ECONAVl and nanoe-G are maintained to help with energy saving and air-purifying.
* The Department of Livestock Production has asked big dairy companies to shoulder difficulties with farmers and buy their cow milk to support the country’s milk industry, Tuoi Tre reports. The department made the request after dairy farmers in localities like Lam Dong, Hanoi and Long An were unable to sell milk. Earlier, the department under the Ministry of Agriculture’ and Rural Development requested localities to inspect dairy cow farming and work with companies to find out solutions to boost consumption of fresh milk material for farmers.
