* KLF Joint.Venture Investment International Company (KLF) plans to issue shares to raise its registered capital by some VND2 trillion to VND3.7 trillion. Last year, the firm saw its profit jump 162 percent to VND90.3 billion and revenue surge 99 percent to VND732.9 billion. It looks to obtain profit of VND200 billion on revenue ofVND1.65 trillion this year, Viet Capital Securities Company reports.

* Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex-VCG) plans to pay a 2014 dividend in cash for shareholders at VND600 per share. Last year, VCG made profit of VND305.8 billion (US$14.2 million), falling 38 percent against the previous year, and its revenue declined 21  percent year-on-year to VND8.7 trillion. The firm targets pre-tax profit ofVND650 billion on revenue of VND10 trillion this year.

* ThePhilippines’ Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation for the first time has registered to buy 30 million shares (41.4 percent)ofCIIBridges& Roads Investment Company (LGC) within one month starting from March 10.

* Beta Securities Company has registered to sell around 1.4 million shares of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (STB) to lower its ownership to one million shares (0.08 percent) from March 11 to April 9.

* Hoa Sen Group (HSG) has chosen March 16 as the ex-dividend date to advance a 2012-2013 third round dividend in cash for shareholders at 5 percent.

* An Duong Thao Dien Real Estate Trading & Investment Company (HAR) has decided to spend VND168.3 billion establishing G Homes housing development firm and another VND5.1 billion setting up Glenwood Horeca Company. With the investment capital, BAR will hold a 51  percent stake at each of the new firms.

* Individual investor Tran Thi Thai An will offload the entirety of her stake totalling around 63,000 shares (0.02 percent) ofHa Tien 1 Cement Company (HTl) between March 10 and 27.

* Lee Eun Hong, general director of Thanh Cong Textile Garment Investment Trading Company (TCM), will sell his entire stake of nearly 53,000 TCM shares over one month starting from March 11.

* Bim Son Cement Company (BCC) has announced March 16 as the ex-dividend date to pay a 2011 dividend in cash for shareholders at 3 percent.

* State officials and employees nationwide will have six consecutive days off, from April 28 to May 3, on the occasion of the Hung Kings’ death anniversary, the Liberation Day (April 30) and the Labour Day (May 1), according to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. To enjoy the six days off, they will have to work on Saturday, April 25, so that they will not have to go to work on Wednesday, April 29.

* Exports of dragon fruit, rambutan, longan and mango to theUnited States,Japan,South KoreaandNew Zealandamounted to over 945 tonnes in the first two months of this year, equivalent to 25.8 percent of last year’s figure. According to the Plant Protection Department, of these four fruits, dragon fruit took the highest proportion, at 80 percent, and theUSwas the biggest importer of Vietnamese dragon fruit with 450 tonnes, followed byJapanandSouth Korea.

* VietJetAir is selling fares from VNDO exclusive of taxes and surcharges from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. until Saturday for its Hanoi-Seoul flights. The promotional programme is applicable to online purchases and flights departing between March 20 and October 31 this year. The no-frills carrier conducts daily services betweenHanoiandSeoulwith an average flying time of four hours and ten minutes.
