* Local plastic packaging producer An Phat Holdings, a large shareholder of An Phat Bioplastics JSC (AAA), signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation with Japan’s Itochu Corporation on November 28. The two sides will collaborate in producing biodegradable plastic bags and materials in the plastics sector, as well as developing supply chains for supporting industries.

* Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco), a major shareholder of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Agticultural Company (HNG), was unable to purchase five million HNG shares between October 31 and November 29. The local auto firm registered to buy the given amount of HNG shares from December 2 to January 2, 2020 to increase its holding in HNG from 26.29 percent to 26.74%.

* Truong Thanh Real Estate and Construction JSC (TEG) has passed a plan to develop Cat Hiep industrial cluster project in Phu Cat District, Ninh Binh Province. The project, covering an area of 50 hectares, will be developed in the 2020-2021 period and have an operational period of 50 years, according to Vietstock. vn

* HCM City Infrastructure Investment JSC (CII), the parent company of CII Engineering and Construction JSC (CEE), will buy 2.5 million CEE shares from December 5 to January 3. If successful, CII will raise its ownership in the subsidiary to over 26 million shares, or a 68.04 percent stake

* Hoa Binh Construction Group (HBC) on November 29 decided to suspend a plan to issue 1.3 million employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) shares. The firm also approved a plan to buy back 10 million shares on the same day.

* Phung Thi Nam, deputy general director of Tien Bo Group JSC (TTB), sold over 1.8 million TTB shares from October 28 to November 26 to cut her ownership in the firm to some 21,000 shares, reported Cafef.vn.

* Vinh Hoan Corporation (VHC) will issue over 90.97 million shares to pay a dividend at a 1-for-l ratio for 2019. The record date will be December 31.

* Danang Port JSC (CDN) has announced December 4 as the ex-dividend date for shareholders to receive a 2018 cash dividend of 4%. The payment will be made from December 15.
