* Shareholders of Khang Dien House Trading and Investment Company (KDH) at the annual general meeting last week approved a 2017 final dividend plan ofVND500 per share and a 5 percent stock dividend, unlike in previous years when KDH paid all cash dividends. The management said this was due to higher capital requirements for its upcoming high-rise and sizeable developments in 2018. The dividend payment schedule was not provided. Shareholders also approved a dividend oflO percent for 2018, which may be paid by either cash or shares. Shareholders approved a 2018 employee stock ownership plan, with 6.8 million shares to be offered at an issue price ofVND15,000 per share. The lock-up period is expected to be one year.

* Binh Minh Plastics Company (BMP) will pay a dividend ofVND2,500 per share for 2017 on the record date of May 14. Currently, the firm has 81.86

million outstanding shares. The firm will make the payment on June 6.

* SAM Holdings Corporation (SAM) said its consolidated net profit climbed 47.9 percent year-on-year to VND43 billion in the first quarter of this year. The firm’s revenue inched up 3.8 percent to VND434.7 billion in the period. Its financial income grew 28.9 percent to VND121.9 billion thanks to the proceeds

from selling the shares of property firm DXG. SAM’s debt ratio stood at 40 percent as of end-March 2018, higher than 38.4 percent at the end of2017.

* Siam Brothers Vietnam Company (SBV) made a net profit of VND13.3 billion from revenue ofVND100 billion in the first quarter of this

year, up 13.7 percent and 27 percent year-on-year respectively. SBVattributed the increas. es in its business results to a new export order worth over VND20 billion in the period, said local website Dau Tu Chung Khoan.

* Luong Tai Investment & Construction Corporation (LUT) looks to earn a pre-tax profit of VND 1.8 billion in 2018, or a 39-fold increase against

the previous year. LUT also targets to make VND350 billion in revenue this year. Besides, the firm plans to tighten the management of its current projects including the DanangQuang Ngai highway project.
