* Thien Long Group (TLG) has announced a successful private placement of five million shares, Dr 7.6 percent of TLG’s current outstanding shares, to NWL Cayman Holdings. The price was VND85,000 per share, equal to a total deal size of VND425 billion. NWL Cayman Holdings is a part of Newell Brands, a leading global consumer goods company with extensive exposure to the stationery sector.

* Amersham Industries Ltd, a major shareholder of Dien Quang Company (DQC), has sold 200,000 DQC shares to cut its ownership to 1.75 million shares, equal to a 5.6 percent stake. Earlier, DQC finished the purchase of 3.7 million treasury shares at the average price of VND27,000.

* FLC Group (FLC) is exploring investment opportunities in 24 projects in the northern province of Quang Ninh. The projects are expected to be implemented in five localities in the province including Halong, Mong Cai, Cam Pha, Uong Bi and Van Don.

* Taseco Air Service Company (AST) will acquire a further 2 percent stake in its associate, airport duty-free retailer Jalux Taseco Co Ltd (JDV), for VND4 billion. Following the acquisition, AST’s stake in JDV will increase to 51 percent from 49%. JDV is an airport duty-free retailer, which was established in 2015, and currently has three stores at Noi Bai Airport and two stores at Danang Airport. In a related development, AST has announced that it will pay its first 2018 interim cash dividend of VND1,500 per share. The payment date is April 8 and the ex-dividend date is March 15.

* Netland Real Estate Company (NRC) targets its net profit of VND11O billion this year, up 53 percent compared to 2018. NRC expects to increase its net profit to VND148 billion in 2020 and VND195 billion in 2021. The builder plans to issue nine million shares to its shareholders from March 14 to April 10 at the price of VND1O,OOO each. It will spend VND90 billion of proceeds on its apartment project in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

* Vo Anh Duc, deputy general director of Danameco Medical Company (DNM), has acquired 981,000 DNM shares, or a 22.4 percent stake.
