* Vietnam Power Development Company (VPD) will close its shareholders list on October 10 to pay a 2017 dividend at VNDl,OOO per share.

The firm is expected to spend VND102.5 billion on the payment given its current outstanding volume of 102.5 million shares. Besides, VPD plans to issue nearly 4.1 million shares to pay dividend for existing shareholders at a 4- for-100 ratio. The firm moved its listing from the market for unlisted public enterprises, or UPCoM, to the Hochiminh Stock Exchange in January, with share price jumping from VNDll,OOO from the debut date to VND16,400 currently.

* Everest Securities Company (EVS) is seeking approval to spur its chartered capital from VND600 billion to VNDI trillion in the last quarter of2018. If successful, EVS will spend VND200 billion on its margin lending service and the remaining improving proprietary trading, financial capability and technological infrastructure.

* PENM II Germany GmbH & Co. KG has registered to sell 20 million shares of Hoa Phat Group (HPG), or a 0.94% stake, to cut its ownership from 2.8% to 1.88%. Over the past three months, HPG share price has leapt over 10% to over VND42,000, with matching volume averaging out at over 5.5 million shares’per session.

* Hoang Long Group (HLG) will hold an extraordinary shareholder meeting on November 16 to pass a scheme of delisting from the Hochirninh Stock Exchange. The move aims to help HLG focus on business restructuring. Capitalized at VND442 billion, the firm is active in the fields of animal feed, tobacco, construction and passenger transport.

* Everpia Company (EVE) said its net profit climbed 26% year-on-year to VND55 billion in the January-August period. Its revenue soared 31 % to VND716.8 billion.

* Son La Water Supply Company will issue nearly 2.3 million shares to raise its capital from VND62 billion to VND85 billion. It will sell the shares at a 3,688-for-l0,000 ratio in the last quarter of2018.

* Individual investor Dang Huynh Uc My has become a major shareholder of Gia Lai Electricity Company (GEG) after acquiring nearly9.9 million GEG shares to raise her stake to 10.16%. GEG is running 14 hydropower plants with the combined capacity of nearly 85MW.
