* Dak Lak Urban and Environment Company will auction nearly 2.9 million shares at the Hochiminh Stock Exchange on January 31, with the initial price set at VND11,500. The enterprise is capitalised at nearly VND66 billion. On the same day, Dak Lak Water Supply and Construction Investment Company will auction over 18 million shares at the starting price ofVND14,300.

* Se San 4A Hydropower Company (S4A) will close its shareholder list on January 16 to advance a 2018 third round dividend in cash for shareholders at 9%. Earlier, the enterprise paid cash dividends in two stages at 5 percent and 16%, respectively. Given the total outstanding volume of 42.2 million shares, it is expected to spend VND126.6 billion on the three payments.

* Nguyen Ho Nam, chair of Transport and Industry Development Investment Company (TCD), has acquired over one million TCD shares to raise his stake to over two million shares, or 5.28%.

* Viet Dragon Securities Company (VDS) has announced January 16 as the ex-dividend date to advance a 2018 dividend in cash for shareholders at5%.

* Sara Vietnam Company (SRA) will issue 16 million shares in a private placement in a move to raise its registered capital by 9-fold to VND180 billion on the record date of January 17. SRA will sell the shares to existing shareholders at a l-for-8 ratio atVND10,000 each.

* Truong Tien Group (MPT) has spent overVND120 billion investing in two enterprises. Earlier, MPT offloaded over 2.2 million shares, equal to a a 28 percent stake, at Phu Vinh Hung Textile and Garment Company at the selling price of around VND 17,000. It is still holding 1.56 million shares at Phu Vinh Hung Company.

* Gia Lai Electricity Company (GEG) has decided to invest in a solar power plant project in Long An Province with the total investment of 4 billion. The plant will cover an area of 58 hectares and has a designed capacity of 49 MWp.

* Trung Son Power Company has spent over VND47 billion acquiring nearly 1.6 million shares of Que Phong Hydropower Company (QPH), raising its stake in QPH from 76.9 percent to 85.5%.
