* CMC Company (CVT) will make a 45 percent dividend payment for 2017 on the record date of May 16. Of the amount, the construction material firm will pay a dividend ofVND 1,500 per share and a share dividend at a 100- for 30 ratio. It currently has 28.22 million outstanding shares. It plans to make the payment on June 1. CVT will spend VND42 billion and issue nearly 8.5 million shares for the dividend payment plan.

* Vietnam National Petroleum Group’s (PLX) revenue in the first quarter of 2018 rose 27 percent year-an-year to VND45 trillion, backed by an increase in petroleum retail prices. However, its operating profit decreased by 3.4 percent and its net financial expenses rose, leading to a 9.2 percent drop in after-tax

profit at around VNDI trillion.

* Truong Thanh Furniture Corporation (TTF) made a consolidated net profit ofVND209.5 million in the first quarter of this year, compared to a

loss ofVND14.6 billion in the same period of2017. Its consolidated revenue fell 4.8 percent to VND202 billion. TTF’s total assets decreased 11 percent from the end of2017 to VND3.69 trillion at the end of March, of which short-term assets accounted for 78 percent ofits stake with VND2.88 trillion, according to Viet Capital Securities Company.

* Saigon Plastic Packaging Company (SPP) has received approval to issue 1.69 million shares to pay a share dividend at a lO-for-one ratio. In

addition, SPP will issue 5.9 million shares for bonus giving at a 100-for-35 ratio. The firm plans to issue an additional 16.88 million shares for its existing. shareholders at VNDlO,OOO per share. SPP expects to use proceeds to build a factory in Long An Province.

* Thanh Thanh CongTourist Company (VNG) earned a consolidated net profit ofVND44. 7 billion from its revenue ofVND264.7 billion in the first

quarter of this year, up 20.3- fold and 4.5-fold year-on -year respectively. The firm attributes its good business results to the acquisition of three units, namely Thang Loi Tourism JSC, Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Tourism JSC and Thanh Binh Tourist JSc.
