* Dong Phu Rubber Company (DPR) made a gross profit ofVND205.6 billion in the Ianuary-Iuly period of this year, up 22% year-on-year and beating the full-year target by 8%. The firm’s revenue grew 10% to VND441.2 billion between January and July, meeting 60% of its entire year’s plan. Of the amount, the firm’s income from the latex sector fell around 19.4% to nearly VND222 billion due to the drop in rubber selling prices. On August 30, the firm will pay a dividend ofVND2,OOO per share for 2017 on the record date

of August 8. It currently has 40.12 million outstanding shares.

* The Vietnam Electricity Group has announced to issue VND800 billion worth of bonds in private placement for less than 100 investors. The bonds will have a face value ofVND 1 billion each and a tenor of seven years from the issuance date. Bond yields will be revised every three months.

* Binh Thanh Import Export Pro auction and Trade Company (GIL) plans to issue 5.1 million shares to pay a dividend of37%. It will conduct the plan in the second half of2018, and use its retained earnings in 2017, when it obtained VND2.1 trillion in revenue and VND 143 billion in after- tax profit, exceeding its full-year goals by 55% and 68%, respectively.

* Nui Nho Stone Company (NNC) will pay a dividend ofVND7,OOO per share for 2017 on the record date of September 7. Currently, NNC has 21.92 million outstanding shares. The company will make the dividend payment on September 26.

* Nguyen Van Troi Forestry Company will launch its initial public offering on the Hanoi Stock Exchange on September 6, selling nearly 1.8 million shares at the starting price of VND12,500 each. Foreign investors are allowed to buy 943,500 shares of the enterprise.

* VVMI La Hien Cement Company (CLH) said its profit slumped 25.8% year-on-year to VND7.7 billion in the second quarter of this year. Its revenue increased 18% to VND182 billion in the quarter, In the first half of this year, CLH earned a net profit ofVND13.6 billion on revenue of D344 billion, up 16% and 21.4% year-on-year, respectively.
