* The management of Yeah 1 Group (YEG), given its media-commerce strategy, has agreed to buy a 50% stake in MediaOne for VND138.6 billion, including a 25% stake offered by MediaOne via a private placement and the remainder by MediaOne director Bui Thien Ha. The deal aims to develop a service of accumulating Mpoint e-wallet reward points for loyal customers, raising clients’ revenues and decreasing costs of customer care. MediaOne has 128,000 users and 13,000 clients.

* Hoa Binh Construction Group (HBC) has signed a multi-year agreement with Autodesk to use ‘Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology for its construction projects, including the use of Autodesk’s BIM 360 project delivery platform to support the integration, digitization, and automation of workflows.

* Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading Corporation will launch 7.2 million shares on the market for unlisted public enterprises, or UPCoM, with the code of THP and the initial price of VND22,900. THP made an audited net profit of VND92.5 billion on revenue of VND2.1 trillion in 2018, up 10-fold and 2.1 % year-on-year, respectively. Meanwhile, Nam Dinh Export Foodstuff & Agricultural Products Processing JSC will list 7.85 million shares on the UPCoM with the code of NDF and the starting price of VND1,400.

* Aviva Vietnam Life Insurance Company has opened a new sales office in Cau Giay District, its second in Hanoi City after the first in Dong Da District. Earlier, Aviva has established an exclusive long-term partnership with VietinBank to provide life, non-life, healthcare and property insurance products on the local market.

* Brewery firm Habeco (HBN) said its net profit decreased 40% year-on-year to VND148 bill on in the third quarter of2019. According to its financial statement, the company spent VND421 billion on advertizing and promotion programs after launching Hanoi Bold and Hanoi Light brands. The figure is 2.5 times higher than in the same period last year.

* Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC) said its consolidated net profit fell 22.5% year-on-year to VND230.5 billion in the third quarter of this year. MPC’s revenue climbed 7% to VND5.2 trillion in the period.
