* PetroVietnam Power Corporation (POW) had generated a total electricity output of 9.4 billion kilowatt hours in the year to May, with total turnover exceeding VND14 trillion. Its after-tax profit hit VND1.3 trillion, which is 29% higher than its target for the January-May period, according to The State-owned electricity firm looks to earn over VND32 trillion in revenue and some VND2.2 trillion in after-tax profit for this year. After the first five months of the year, POW had completed 45% of revenue and 58% of profit targets.

* Vo Anh That, board chairman at Thai Duong Petrol JSC (TDG), has registered to buy 500,000 TDG shares from June 20 and July 19 to raise his holding at TDG to over 1.4 million shares. Earlier, he had bought only 188,000 TDG shares out of a registered amount of 250,000 shares from May 16 to June 14.

* Bui Minh Than, a board member at Transimex Corporation (TMS), was able to buy only 530 TMS shares out of one million shares that he had registered for purchase from May 16 to June 14. After the transactions, Tuan holds over 5.9 million TMS shares. He then registered to buy another one million TMS shares between June 19 and July 18 to raise his ownership at the firm to over 6.9 million TMS shares, or 14.66%.

* Hung Thang Loi Gia Lai JSC, a major shareholder of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Agricultural JSC (HNG), bought six million HNG shares on June 17 via put-through deals to spur its holding at HNG to 93 million shares, or a 10.49% stake.

* The management board of Hoang Huy Investment Financial Services JSC (TCH) has approved a plan to pay a 2018 dividend to its shareholders in cash at 6.9%. The payment is scheduled from July to September this year.

* Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (VCG) has released its annual general meeting documents for this whole year that include revenue and after-tax profit targets at some VND10 trillion and VND700 billion, up 0.2% and 16%, respectively. Its dividend payment target is 12%.
