* Vingroup (VIC) has held a ground-breaking ceremony for Shophouse Vincom Ha Gang, a trade center, hotel and apartment complex located in the heart of Ha Gang City. The complex is built on an area of over 21,000 square meters. It is divided into two main areas, which are the Shophouse residential area and the trade center combined with a 20-storey hotel.

* Singapore’s investment company Platinum Victory has failed to increase its stake in Vietnam Dairy Products Company (VNM) from 10.62% to 11.62% through share purchases as of November 15 due to unfavorable market conditions. The investor has immediately registered again to buy the 1 % stake between November 21 and December 20.

* Saigon Garmex Manufacturing Trade Company (GMC) has approved a plan to issue 8.9 million shares to existing shareholders at VND15,000 each by the end of this year. Of the proceeds, estimated atVND134 billion, GMC plans to spend VND60 billion paying salary and VND74 billion buying materials. The garment firm plans to expand its business to the European Union, Japan, and the United States, restructure business and invest in machinery and infrastructure development of factories.

* Thien Long Group (TLG) has announced an ex-dividend date of December 11 and a payment date of December 27 for the first 2019 interim dividend of VND1,000 per share. The company at its 2019 annual general meeting approved a 2019 dividend plan of 20%, either in shares or in cash.

* Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate Company (SCR) will issue 27.14 million shares to pay a dividend at an 8-for-100 ratio on the record date of December 18. SCR plans to issue VND80 billion worth of secured inconvertible bonds in a private placement by the end of 2019. The three-year notes will be offered in the book-entry form at a face value of VND 100 million each.

* Vietnam Airlines (HVN) has won the 2019 ICT Award from the Asian-Oceania Computing Industry Organization for its achievements and contributions to the development and application of information technology in operation and services.
