* Mobile World investment Group (MWG) made a net profit of roughly D2.7 trillion on total net revenue of more than VND68 trillion between January and August this year, up 37% and 17% from a year earlier. Its shares fell 2% to end Monday at VND124,000, having increased by 41.5% after four months. As of late August, the number of its stores around the country had risen to 2,621.

* The board of directors at FLC Faros Construction Company (ROS) last week approved a resolution which would offload more than 57.7 million shares in FLCHomes Real Estate Development and Investment JSC at a price of at least VND577.7 billion. ROS also asked its subsidiary, RTS Finance Investment and Assets Management, to acquire some 19.1 million shares of FLCHomes.

* Phu My Hung Development Corporation (PM H) has mobilized VND800 billion for real estate projects from an unnamed foreign investor through a private bond issuance. Earlier this month, the firm realized 47% of its plans of issuing VND1. 7 trillion worth of bonds. The investor bought the entire batch.

* The Philippines-listed firm Phinma Corporation is investing US$50 million in Song Lam Cement JSC through a subscription of preferred shares convertible into common shares. The shares will be entitled to receive annual, fixed cumulative dividends of 7.5%.

* Dang Huynh Uc My, a member of the board of directors at Thanh Thanh Cong-Bien Hoa JSC (SBT) and daughter of the firm’s chairman Dang Van Thanh, intended to acquire 30 million SBT shares via order-matching and put-through transactions between September 27 and October 25. If successful, she would raise her stake in SBT to over 98 million shares, or 16.77%. Her mother is also.seeking to purchase 35 million SBT until October 16.

* Drilling Mud Joint Stock Corporation (PVC), 36%-held by the State-owned Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), will pay a dividend of VND450 per share for 2018 on October 18. PVC made a consolidated net profit of VND13.14 billion on net revenue of VND986.55 billion in the first half of this year.
