* Tien Phong Plastic JSC (NTP) said its consolidated net profit in the first quarter of 2019 surged 77.58% from a year earlier to VND71.62 billion, backed by lower management and sales costs. Its net revenue rose 19.59% year-on-year to VND1 trillion in January-March.

* Phat Dat Corporation Real Estate Development (PDR) reported a 0.36% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit in the first quarter to VND153.1 billion. Its revenue rocketed 4.5-fold year-on-year to VND1.7 trillion in the period.

* Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC) plans to issue VND2 trillion worth of non-convertible, secured bonds in a private placement in the second quarter. The two-year bond will have a face value of at least VND100,000 each.

* Hoa An JSC has recently acquired an additional 23,230 shares in Construction Investment Corporation 3-2 (C32), raising its total to 763,921 shares, or 5.08%, and thereby making it a major shareholder of C32.

* Hoang Ha Investment Production and Development Co., Ltd., whose owner Le Hoang Ha is also vice chairman of Son Ha International Corporation (SHI), has recently bought 4.31 million SRI shares, raising the total to around 5.69 million shares, or 6.67% of the total, and becoming a primary shareholder of SHI.

* Sieu Thanh Joint Stock Corporation (ST8) has chosen May 8 as the record date for the first-round 2019 cash dividend payment of 10%, which will be made on May 28.

* April 25 is the first transaction date for 15 million more shares of Construction JSC (MST). Therefore, the number of its current and fresh shares totals more than 35.5 million on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

* Hoang Anh Quyet, chairman of Tien Trung Investment Construction and Technology JSC (TTZ), is purchasing more than 650,000 TTZ shares via order-matching and put-through transactions until May 22. Currently, he owns over 349,000 TTZ shares, or 4.61 % of the total.
