* Military-owned telecom group Viettel has announced to auction over 94 million shares ofVinaconex Corporation, accounting for over 21.2% of its total with a voting right. The auction will be held on November 22 with the starting price for all the shares set at over VND2 trillion. The same day, the State Capital Investment Corporation will also auction 254 million shares of Vinaconex, or a 57.7% stake, at the starting price ofVND21,400 each, higher than its current market price ofVND18,600.

* Shareholders ofTruong Thanh Furniture Corporation (TIF) at an extraordinary meeting last week approved a plan to merge with Thien Thanh Ceramic Company. The merger will be done via a share swap at a 1-for-8.21 ratio, meaning that 8.21 shares ofTIF will be exchanged for a share of Thien Thanh Ceramic. TIP will issue nearly 96.6 million shares to facilitate the swap.

* Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation, or Dofico, has offloaded 6.8 million shares of Bien Hoa Packaging Company (SVI) at the starting price of VND44,100. Transactions will take place between October and November. Earlier, Dofico failed to launch an auction for 3.1 million hares of Dong Nai Export and Import Company at the starting price of VND20,000 as it attracted only one bidder.

* Hai Phat Investment Company (HPX) has chosen November 1 as the ex-dividend date for shareholders to receive a 2017 share dividend at 15%. The enterprise will issue an additional 22.5 million shares for the dividend payment.

* Dang Le Viet, chairman ofKhang Minh Brick Company (GKM), will be selling 1.5 million shares of GKM from October 30 to ovember 28. Currently, Viet is holding 4.5 million GKM shares, or a 33.3% stake.

* Ha Tay Pharmaceutical Company (DHT) has announced November 1 as the ex-dividend date for shareholders to receive a 2018 second round dividend in cash at 10%. It will make the payment on November 15.

* Pham Duy Hung, chairman of The Vegetexco Port Company (VGP), has registered to sell his entire 2.47 million shares at the enterprise, which is equivalent to a 31.6% stake. Transactions will take place from now to November 20.
