* Vietnam Prosperity Bank (VP Bank) yesterday opened a branch at278 Tran Nao StreetinHCMCity’s

District 2.

* Hanoi Power Corporation will ensure electricity supply inHanoiduring the Reunification Day and

International Labour Day holidays from April 29 until May 1.

* Hanoi Public Passenger Transport Company plans to increase a couple of train journeys between

HanoiandQuangBinhProvince’sDongHoiCityfrom May 29.

* Hoa Phat Danang Steel Pipe Company has made its debut to increase its supply and market share of steel pipes in the central and Central Highlands regions. The firm’s steel pipe plant can turn out 36,000 tonnes in the first phase. Work on the second phase will be implemented in 2015-2016.

* Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Company will invest more than 400 billion dong in new machinery and equipment, a workshop in Hai Phong City and new production lines this year. Besides, the firm’s revenue and pre-tax profit forecasts are 2.65 trillion dong and 393 billion dong respectively.

* Dong Nai Garment Corporation is aiming for 1.2 trillion dong in revenue, 50 billion dong in pre-tax profit, and $53 million in outbound sales this year.

* VOF Investment Limited has registered to buy 500,000 shares of Hoa Phat Group (HPG) from now to May 22 to secure a 5.19 percent stake.

* Khang Dien House Trading and Investment Company (KDH) has approved a plan to issue 26.9 million shares via a private placement to five investors within this month, raising an estimated 363 billion dong. The shares will be sold at 13,500 dong each. The enterprise will use the proceeds to improve its financial capability and supplement working capital.

* The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam has got approval from the central bank to set up a branch and a transaction office in the Mekong Delta city ofCan Tho.

* Kinh Bac City Development Shareholding Corporation (KBC) has issued 100 million shares via private placement for five institutional and individual investors at 10,000 dong each to restructure its loans. The enterprise made no earnings from the issuance.

* Xuan Thanh Securities Joint Stock Company has offloaded nearly 1.7 million shares of Viet-Han Corporation (VHG) to reduce its holding from 5.3 percent to 0.8 percent.

* Lam Son Sugar Corporation (LSS) targets a pre-tax profit of 55 billion dong this year, rising 5.4 percent against 2013. Its revenue is forecast at 1.6 trillion dong this year, down 12.6 percent year-on-year.

* VinaCapital Vietnam Fixed Income Limited has registered to sell one million shares of Quoc Cuong

Gia Lai Company (QCG) to reduce its holding from 3.1 percent to 2.4 percent.

* Construction Company No. 6 (CT6) has announced May 7 as the ex-dividend date to pay 2013 dividend in cash for shareholders at 12 percent.

* PetroVietnam Fertiliser & Chemicals Corporation has registered to sell 2.6 million shares of Drilling

Mud Corporation (PVC) from now to May 21.

* Lucerne Enterprise Ltd has bought over 260,000 shares of Song Da Infrastructure Construction Company (SDH) to raise its ownership from 14.2 percent to 15.4 percent.

* Pacific Property & Infrastructure Development and Investment JSC. (PPI) targets a pre-tax profit of 49.9 billion dong on revenue of 589.1 billion dong in 2014, it said in the resolution of its 2014 annual general meeting (AGM).

* VietnamPetroleum Transport JSC. (VIP) targets a net profit of 30 billion dong on revenue of 736 billion dong in 2014, it said in the resolution of its 2014 annual general meeting (AGM).

* Luu Tuong Giai, Chief Supervisor of Gemadept Corporation (GMD) sold 30,000 shares by April 22.

* Bui Quoc Dung, Chief Accountant of Sai Gon Water Infrastructure Corporation (SII) sold his all 130,000 shares by April 23 through order-matching.

* Ben Thanh Trading & Service JSC. (BTT)’s holding company made a pre-tax profit of 15.1 billion dong in Q1/2014, up 58.2 percent from a year back thanks to income from subsidiaries.
