* The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Ministry of Transport on December 21 signed an agreement to provide transaction advisory services for a third ring road project in HCM City, reports the Vietnam News Agency. The deal was signed by Nguyen Ngoc Dong, deputy minister of Transport, and Eric Sidgwick, ADB’s Country director for Vietnam. Under the agreement, ADB’s Public-Private Partnership Office will support the ministry in the development of a bankable public-private partnership (PPP) structure for the project to enable the leveraging of private investments. This assistance will complement the government’s ongoing project preparations supported by ADB and thereby promote optimal use of public and private sector funds

* About 15 million SIM cards by local mobile network providers will have been blocked or withdrawn by the end of 2016 in an unprecedented campaign to crack down on the countries’ unregistered SIM card, according to numbers provided by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

* Saigon Industry Corporation has registered to sell its entire stake of 1.9 million shares in Telecommunication Industry Electronics Company (TIE) between December 23 and January 21.

* Tay Nguyen Electricity Investment Company (TIC) has announced December 29 as the ex-dividend date to pay a 2016 first round dividend of 13 percent in cash for shareholders. Payments are slated for January 16.

* Digiworld Corporation (DGW) plans to issue 9.14 million shares as bonuses at a 10:3 ratio on the record date of December.30. The issue, which will send the company’s registered capital rising to VND397.5 billion, will be carried out at the end of this month. In the first nine months of this year, DGW posted revenue of VND2.79 trillion, down 14 percent from a year earlier, and net profit of VND56 billion, a 34 percent fall.

* Tien Len Steel Corporation Company (TLH) will spend nearly VND85 billion paying a provisional dividend of VND1,000 per share. for 2016 on the record date of December 30. The company will make payments on January 18. In January-September, its revenue went up 23 percent from a year earlier to VND2.86 trillion and its net profit soared 24 times to VND331.5 billion.

* Doan Minh Tuan, general director of KPF Consultant International Project Company (KPF), has registered to sell 1.68 million KPF shares to cut his ownership from 18 percent to 8.2 percent over one month starting from December 23.

* Binh Duong Mineral & Construction Company (KSB) plans to issue 23.4 million shares to double its chartered capital to VND468 billion. The company will sell the shares to existing shareholders at a 1:1 ratio. KSB’s revenue rose 17 percent year-on-year to VND641.4 billion in January-September and its net profit soared 59 percent to VND153.8 billion.

* Mitraco Livestock Company (MLS) will make its debut on the Hanoi exchange on December 28, offering four million shares at the reference price of VND20,000 each.

* Nguyen Minh Than, deputy general director of Vigiacera Corporation Company (VGC), has registered to buy 100,000 VGC shares to increase his ownership to 900,000 shares (0.29 percent) from December 22 to January 19.
