* Thien Viet Growth Fund has registered to sell its entire stake of 100,000 shares in Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) from December 26 to January 21.

* Duong Minh Duc, chair ofKPF Consultant International Project Company (KPF), will be buying 1.5 million KPF shares (8.7 percent) over one month starting from December 23. He currently holds no KPF shares.

* Traphaco Company (TRA), one of Vietnam’s leading pharmaceutical companies, will spend VND69 billion paying a provisional dividend ofVND2,000 a share for 2016. The company will make payments between January 15 and 20. In the first nine months of this year, TRA attained revenue ofVND1.5 trillion, up slightly from a year earlier, and net profit ofVND 154.2 billion, a 26 percent pickup.

* Trinh Xuan Vuong, chair of OPC Pharmaceutical Company (OPC), will acquire 100,000 OPC shares to revise up his ownership by nearly 0.4 percentage point to 9.7 percent over one month starting from December 23.

* I.P.A Investments Group Company (IPA) plans to issue 29.1 million shares as bonuses at a 2:1 ratio. After the issue, IPA’s chartered capital will climb to some VND900 billion. In January-September, IPA posted revenue of VND1.42 trillion, up from VND 1.2 trillion in the same period last year, and after-tax profit of VND74 billion, down byVND13.2 billion year-on-year.

* Viet Duc Welding Electrode Company (QHD) said it would pay a 2016 dividend in cash for shareholders at30 percent on the record date of December 27. Payments will be made on January 12.

* 36 Corporation (G36) has got permission from the Hanoi exchange to list 43 million shares on the market for unlisted public companies (UPCoM) for the first time on December 26. The firm launched an initial public offering in April with all 4.3 million shares snapped up at the average winning bid of VND15,102 a share. G36 has operated as a joint stock company since June with chartered capital of VND430 billion.

* Dang Nhi Nuong, chairwoman of American – Vietnamese Biotech Incorporation (AMY), will be buying 247,800 AMY shares to raise her holding to 342,800 shares (16.2 percent) between December 23 and January 20.

* Vietnam’s state-run enterprises have brought back VND6.84 trillion (US$305.36 million) to state budget after withdrawing from non-core business and investment in 2016.

* Vietnam’s vegetable and fruit export is expected to top $2.6 billion in 2016, having reached $2.17 billion in the Jan-November period, according to the E-Commerce and Information Technology Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

* A nine-story parkcade has been proposed for construction behind the Municipal Theater in downtown HCM City to provide more parking spaces for automobiles in the city.

* Vietnam welcomed its 10 millionth visitor on Sunday, marking huge success in the country’s tourism this year, accompanied by a 20-percent increase in the number of foreign tourists.

* Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup on Saturday put into operation a five-star, 30-story hotel, which is currently the Mekong Delta’s tallest skyscraper, in Can Tho City.
