* HCM City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company has sent the HCM City government a plan to supply water for districts 12, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Go Yap and Hoc Mon under the build-own-operate- transfer model.

* My Hoa Nam Roi Pomelo Cooperative based in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long’s Binh Minh Town has finished an order to export Nam Roi pomelo meeting GlobalGAP standards to Canada. The cooperative supplies an average of 3-4 tonnes of pomelo for the market daily.

* Hoa Sen Group last week opened a representative office at 183 Nguyen Van Troi Street in HCM City’s Phu Nhuan District. The company plans to put into operation a new roofing sheet production line having an annual capacity of 400,000 tonnes at Hoa Sen Phu My Steel Sheet Plant in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province’s Tan Thanh District this weekend.

* Germany’s EAB New Energy GmbH and general Trading Production and Service Joint Stock Company have been licensed to develop a wind power project in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang. The project’s first-phase investment is around VND1.5 trillion. The project is expected to be test run from December 2014 to March 2015.

* Amersham Industries Limited has registered to buy one million shares of HCM City Infrastructure Investment Company (CII) over a period of one month starting from February 12 to raise its holding from 6.3 percent to 7.2%.

* Hung Vuong Corporation (HVG) has announced February 21 as the ex-dividend date to pay 20 13 first round dividend in cash for shareholders at 10%.

* Dai Thien Loc Corporation (DTL) has announced February 26 as the exdividend date to pay nearly 4.7 million shares as 2012 dividend for shareholders at the 10:1 ratio and issue around 10 million more shares at the 10:1.5 ratio.

* Tan Thanh Dat Investment & Development Joint Stock Company has acquired two million shares of Lam Son Sugar Corporation (LSS) to spur its ownership from 10.5 percent to 12.5%.

* Dry Cell and Storage Battery Company (PAC) made a net profit of VND65.3 billion in 2013, excluding profit of its affiliates, rising 1.7 percent from a year earlier, thanks to the fall in financial and sales costs. Its revenue inched up 0.5 percent year-on-year to over VND 1.8 trillion last year.

* VietABank will offer gifts and lucky draws to customers who deposit around $40 or above at the bank. The programme will run till March 20.

* Vietnam Airlines has offloaded over 4.2 million shares of Bao Minh Insurance Corporation (BMI), or a 5.6 percent stake.

* Vietnam Mechanisation Electrification & Construction Company (MCG) had a loss of over VND 180 billion last year, excluding figures of its affiliates, compared to a net profit of VND4.6 billion from a year earlier due to the growth in financial costs and provision for its inventory. Its revenue declined 59.4 percent year-on-year to VND757 billion in 2013.

* Mutual Fund Elite has bought over 101,000 shares of Chuong Duong Beverages Company (SCD) to secure a 7.2 percent stake.

* Construction’ Company No.5 (SC5) has won a VND224 billion contract to build a component of a water supply project in the southern province of Binh Duong.
