* Vietnam Airlines has launched a same-price promotion applicable for a number of domestic flights departing from now until March 3. Tickets for flights between Hanoi, Vinh, Hai Phong and HCM City are priced at VND1.55 miliion while those of flights between Hanoi, HCM City and Danang are VND1 million, exclusive of taxes and surcharges.

* HUD4 Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company will begin construction of a budget condo project in Thanh Hoa Province’s Thanh Hoa City on Sunday. The project will consist of 400 apartments which are expected to be sold at around VND9 million per square metre.

* Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade and Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) have signed a deal to provide over VND930 billion for the MDF Kien Giang wood processing plant project in Kien Giang Province’s Thanh Loc Industrial Park. The project invested by VRG with a total investment of around VND1.5 trillion has a processing capacity of 75,000 cubic meters per year.          .

* Phu Quoc International Airport will welcome the first international flight operated by Russian airline IKAR today. IKAR will operate one flight from Russia to Phu Quoc on a Boeing 757 a week.

* The central bank has given the nod to VPBank to scale up its chartered capital from VND5.7 trillion to VND6.3 trillion.

* Nam Long Investment Corporation (NLG) has issued 25.5 million shares via private placement for seven investors at VND18,000 each.

* Cotec Construction Company (CTD) has announced February 21 as the ex-dividend date to advance 2013 dividend in cash for shareholders at 10%.

* Viet Steel Production & Trade Company has registered to buy over 5.5 million shares of Pomina Steel Corporation (POM) within one month starting from February 17.

* Military Bank has got approval to open Ba Vi transaction office in Hanoi City.

* Dam Sen Water Park Corporation (DSN) made a net profit of VND67.2 billion last year, rising 3.4 percent from a year earlier, thanks to a decrease in financial cost while its revenue increased 8.8 percent year-on -year to VND170.9 billion.

* Jom Silkkitie Investment Fund has acquired 500,000 shares of Saigon general Service Corporation (SVC) to spur its holding from 5.2 percent to 7.2%.

* PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVT) saw its consolidated net profit surge by 115 percent year-on-year to over VND235 billion last year thanks to the fall in financial and management costs. Its revenue rose 11.4 percent to VND5 trillion last year.

* Dao Nguyen Vu, deputy general director of Sacombank (STB), has registered to sell 100,000 STB shares.

* Hai Duong Pump Manufacturing Company (CTB) has announced February 21 as the record date for shareholders to receive 2013 dividend in cash at 20%.

* Pham Van Thanh, chief accountant of Song Da Cao Cuong Company (SCL), has registered to buy 100,000 SCL shares within one month starting from February 17.

* Higher Educational and Vocational Book Company (HEV) reported VND2.3 billion in net profit on VND24 billion “in revenue last year, compared to VND2.5 billion and VND23.6 billion in the previous year respectively.
