* Ben Tre Import and Export Company has registered to buy one million shares of Bien Hoa Sugar Company (BHS) to double its stake in BHS to two million shares (1.5 percent) between July 19 and August 16.

* Tran Anh Digital World Company (TAG) said in a quarterly financial report that its revenue jumped 35 percent year-on-year to VND1.1 trillion in the second quarter and its net profit leapt 39 percent to roughly VND 12 billion. In the first half, TAG’s revenue shot up 34 percent to VND2.2 trillion and net profit soared 71  percent to VND23.3 billion, Viet Capital Securities Company reports.

* Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) wants to sell 1.6 million shares, 51.13 percent of the total, in Railway Import-Export and Supply Material Equipment Company (Virasimex), according to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX). The shares will be auctioned as a single lot with the reserve price of VND27.47 billion, or VND17,200 per share. Investors interested in the auction are required to place a deposit equivalent to 30 percent of the shares’ value, or VND8.24 billion. Nine individual and nine institutional investors are qualified to join the auction, the bourse said. Headquartered inHanoi, Virasimex focuses on training and exporting labour to regional and international markets. State-owned firm VNR is facing many’ challenges as its revenue has dropped amid stronger competition in the transport sector. In the first half of this year, VRC posted revenue of VND3.18 trillion, down 12 percent from a year earlier.

* One Communication Technology Corporation (0 E) has issued 775,070 shares to pay a dividend to shareholders, raising its total outstanding volume to 7.2 million shares. The news shares will be tradable on July 22.

* Bui Dinh Hung, chair of Luong Tai Investment Construction Company (LUT), will be buying 252,000 LUT shares to increase his holding by 1.7 percentage points to 19.7 percent over one month starting from July 20.

* Power Engineering Consulting Company No.4 (TV4) has picked July 22 as the ex-dividend date to pay a 2015 second round dividend in cash for shareholders at 3 percent. Payments are slated for August 5.
